A TOWN is pushing forward with plans to appoint an officer to co-ordinate planned improvements.
The Ferryhill Partnership is looking for someone to make sure recommendations made in the recent town appraisal are carried out. A partnership meeting this week agreed to press ahead with applications to the Single Regeneration Budget and other agencies for cash to fund the post. It is expected the applications will be made next month.
Partnership secretary Jamie Corrigan said: "It will be a full time post for a development officer. They will be employed by the partnership and required to implement as many recommendations of the appraisal as possible."
