THE A19 Milk Group is to supply its milk through the farmer co-operative "first milk" from October 1.
Mr Willis Tuer, chairman of A19, said the decision had resulted from their membership of the Association of Dairy Farmers, which had recommended its member groups to join first milk.
"We believe it is high time farmers had a greater influence on the market place and took a more active role in it," said Mr Tuer.
"Our joining the major co-operative in the UK will be a move in the right direction."
