A FAMILY of baby rabbits abandoned in a North-East town have been given a temporary home.
The RSPCA is looking for information about the five rabbits, thought to be between three and four-months-old, which were dumped in a skip in an alley in Queen Street, Redcar, east Cleveland.
A boy discovered the rabbits, four brown and white ones and one black one, in a cardboard pet carrier.
The animals, which were in a poor condition, were taken to the animal centre at Great Ayton.
Yesterday, rabbit lover Gwen Butler, of the Bunny Burrows rabbit sanctuary, in Richmond, North Yorkshire, took them in.
Anyone with information about the rabbits is asked to call the RSPCA on (08705) 555999.
