A schizophrenic who waged a three-month letter bomb campaign was today ordered to be detained indefinitely at a mental hospital.
Chester Crown Court heard how 27-year-old Glynn Harding targeted a dozen addresses in England, Scotland and Wales and injured three people including a little girl who was left scarred for life.
Passing sentence the Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards said Harding, of Crewe, Cheshire, was "pure evil" and would have been sentenced to life imprisonment had it not been for his mental condition.
