NEW students have responded well to anti-burglary advice, say crime prevention officers.
All week, a Cleveland Police van and trailer have been stationed at Teesside University as part of induction week.
Anti-burglary jingles have been broadcast across the campus and officers have handed out leaflets on issues ranging from property marking to mobile phone theft.
PC Mick McGravey said that student house burglaries fell last year, but they were still a vulnerable group. "Many may have come to the area from elsewhere in the country and may not be aware of the risks," he said.
