TINY terrier Dusty could be the oldest dog of its kind in Britain after reaching the ripe old age of 20.
The Yorkshire terrier has just celebrated the milestone birthday - the equivalent of 140 human years.
Dusty's owners put their pet's age down to his liking for prawns and T-bone steaks.
David Whisson and wife June, who run a bistro in Whitby, North Yorkshire, have owned Dusty most of his life.
He was originally bought for June's father but after just a few hours the couple fell in love with the tiny pooch and have kept him since.
As well as normal dog food, Dusty has always taken a particular liking to T-bone steak, prawns and garlic.
But Mr Whisson, 52, said: "He only gets the bone, not the steak. I love him, but I don't love him that much.
"Our vet says he has never come across a Yorkshire terrier so old. Every time we go in he's amazed he's still around. We love him to bits and I don't know what we would do without him."
The oldest registered dog was a pedigree papillon, which reached more than 27-years-old.
