SUMMER may only have just finished, but in Guisborough they are already looking to Christmas.
Guisborough Town Council has discussed preparations for the festivities and celebrations and plans are already well on the way.
Last year, Westgate was decorated with lights as well as a tree, and it is hoped that this year's lights will be bigger and brighter.
The town council works in partnership with Guisborough Business Association to provide the lights, and has been holding a series of fundraising events throughout the year to raise the money.
The town council has joined forces with the business association, the police and the Round Table to provide a late- night shopping event in the town on December 4.
Schools in the town are being encouraged to take part in Mayor Barbara Punshon's Community Carol Concert, on Wednesday, December 12 at St Nicholas' Church, and there will also be parties for the town's senior citizens on December 6 and 7
