YOUNGSTERS have shown their sympathy for those killed or injured in the US terrorist attacks by creating a display of poetry.
Pupils at East Cowton Primary School, North Yorkshire, put pen to paper to express their thoughts on the tragedy as part of a "Global Community" project they have been working on.
Headteacher Irene Marwood said: "After the tragedy we felt it was important to let the children talk about it and air their views. We asked them to write down their thoughts and the response has been absolutely stunning, with the things they understand and the fears they have."
The youngsters' work will be on display at the school for the next few weeks.
