Hathaway and Cope Stokesley League
It was another free-scoring weekend with each game producing at least six goals, three of the games ending 5-1 and Lingdale FC getting their first win of the season with a 4-3 win over the Bulls Head.
Mickey Waterson was Lingdale's hero, hitting a fine hat-trick including the late winner.
Waterson hit two in the first ten minutes as the home side threatened to run away with the game however the second half saw a dramatic comeback with Bulls Head hitting back on 45 and 55 minutes with goals from Craig Omerod and Danny Marshall.
Marshall then gave Bulls Head the lead with a terrific solo effort only for Gary Bringlowe to equalise from a hotly disputed penalty just minutes later.
In an action-packed finale, Waterson popped up with five minutes to go to complete his hat trick and seal a welcome first victory for Lingdale.
The top of the league table remained unchanged with all four top sides winning their fixtures.
Dormans FC continued their impressive opening to the season with a 5-1 victory against Woodmans Arms.
They kept their 100 per cent record in tact although it was not until the dismissal of Woodman's Arms Danny O Riordan for two bookable offences that they took control.
Up until that point Woodmans had held the league leaders however, following the harsh sending off, the floodgates opened with goals from Lee Williams, James Mcgowan, Steve Owens, Darren Rothwell and Kenny Mathous with just a solitary reply from the visitors.
A hat-trick from Redcar Coke Ovens Anthony Gregory helped his side to a 6-0 win over Stokesley.
Gregory opened his account ten minutes before half time when he capitalised on a goalkeeping error and John Smith made it 2-0 when he lobbed the Stokesley keeper early in the second half.
A second from Gregory together with a goal from Andy Leech put Coke Ovens in control and in the dying minutes Gregory wrapped up his hat trick with a cheeky back heeled shot.
Ged Blair completed the win that keeps Coke Ovens within a point of the league leaders scoring with a well taken left footer ten minutes from time.
Kings Head ran riot in the early stages of their game against Ennis Square hitting three goals in the first six minutes and ultimately running out 5-1 winners.
Man of the match Andrew Brown side-footed home from 15 yards following a mazy dribble past two defenders with only two minutes on the clock followed by a goal direct from a Lee Johnson corner kick two minutes later.
Completing the Kings Heads early dominance, Michael Clapham popped up to make it 3-0, effectively ending the game as a contest.
The second half was a relatively quiet affair lit up by Steve Smiths twenty-five yard thunderbolt in the final quarter of the game after Paul Round had earlier added to his tally for the season.
Ennis Square's solitary goal was scored by Wayne Gent.
Their was an identical 5-1 scoreline in the game between Teeside Athletic and Onyx with Athletic coasting to an easy win.
A Kirk Forsyth brace together with one each for Christopher Ellis, Mark Farrell and man of the match, Michael Cater completed a fine team performance.
Onyx only goal of the game came midway through the first half from John Briggs. Not to be outdone on a goal filled weekend, Middlesbrough Post Office managed to share the spoils in a six goal thriller with The Grenadier despite trailing 3-1 at half time. Grenadier had much the better of the first and it was only Duane Vincent's goal that kept the Post Offices hopes alive. Two second half goals from Andrew Steel however changed the game round with Steel firing home from the penalty spot before heading the equaliser.
