BRILLIANT young violinist Boriana Nakeva will be making her first trip to the North-East next month.
She will be performing at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, accompanied by amateur musicians from the region's Cobweb Orchestra.
A spokesman for the town hall said it was quite a coup for them to attract Ms Nakeva, who has built up an international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician. She will be playing Mendelssohns' Violin Concerto.
Ms Nakeva plays with the Orchestra da Camera in Florence and recently completed a tour of Europe.
Before the performance on Sunday, October 7, people can participate in an orchestra workshop with her, from 2pm to 6.30pm.
For tickets to the workshop, which cost £5, contact Andy Jackson on (01388) 602436.
Tickets to the evening performance cost £4.
