A Bangladeshi waiter has admitted child abduction charges after appearing at crown court.
At an earlier hearing Mohammed Miah, 42, had pleaded not guilty to four separate counts of abducting a child on April 26 last year.
But today he pleaded guilty to the charges and his case was adjourned for three weeks for sentence.
Miah, of Salmon Street, South Shields, was granted conditional bail until the next hearing.
