A PAIR of border collies has provided the inspiration for a book about Guisborough Forest.
The dogs, called Bob and Dylan, are regular visitors to the forest with their owners, Deborah Jefferson and Briony Serginson, who are also wardens at the Guisborough Walkway centre.
The pair hope that the book, Dylan and Bob's Guide to Guisborough Forest, which costs 60p, will have a double benefit.
"We thought it would be a good idea to use Bob and Dylan to introduce the children's trail and at the same time we can promote a responsible dog owner message, because we get a lot of family groups who are often accompanied by a dog."
For further information, contact the wardens on (01287) 631132.
