A FAMILY of baby rabbits found abandoned in Redcar has been given a new temporary home.
The RSPCA is looking for information about the five rabbits, thought to be between three and four months old, which were dumped in a skip in an alley in Queen Street.
A local boy discovered the rabbits - four brown and white and one black - in a cardboard pet carrier. The animals, which were in a bad condition, were taken to the animal centre at Great Ayton.
Gwen Butler, from Bunny Burrows in Richmond, rescued the animals and took them to her sanctuary.
Anyone with information is asked to call the RSPCA on 08705 555999.
