RUMOURS about a row over the completion date for a school extension have been scotched by the headteacher.
Croft CE Primary School, at Croft-on-Tees was awarded £52,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund in May to build an extension to house an out-of-school club.
The building work was meant to be completed by September 19, but the area is still a building site. But headteacher, Brenda Higgins, said although there was a delay there had not been any row.
She said a lease was required for the building work to be completed, because the extension is to be built on Church land.
She said: "All that's happened is the solicitors had it in the pipeline, then we were on holiday, then the solicitors were away and then the Charity Commission, but we expect it to be sorted out in the next fortnight.
"The builders will be back and we hope it will be six to eight weeks for completion."
