FAMILIES are being urged to have their say on social services as part of a Government review.
Next month, the Independent Joint Review Team will begin a three-month analysis of the effectiveness of Middlesbrough Council's social services.
The team, comprising of Lyn Humphreys and Iseult Cocking will look at four key areas - how social services meet the needs of individuals, how they are shaped round changing needs, performance management and resource management.
As part of the process, service users and their carers will be encouraged to voice their opinions at a series of group meetings and in writing.
All information will be treated as confidential, and the team is looking for general comments, rather than individual complaints.
People can write to Lyn Humphreys, lead reviewer, Joint Reviews, 33, Graycoat Street, London SW1 2QF or e-mail Ms Humphreys at l-humphreys
