PUBLIC consultation over the future of policing in Sunderland continues this weekend when survey teams take to the streets of Fulwell and Washington.
Trained experts will be visiting the main shopping centres to listen to the views of residents about particular crime concerns they may have in their neighbourhoods.
The findings of these areas, chosen as representative of a cross section of the city, are part of a crime survey taking place across Sunderland throughout October.
City of Sunderland sustainability coordinator Steve Graham said: "The date collected will be invaluable when it comes to preparing the crime and disorder strategy for Sunderland to be published later this year.
"Seminars are being held throughout the city next month, so everyone will get the chance to have their say on policing matters."
Anyone wishing to find out more about the consultation exercise can call Steve Graham or Karen Beaumont on 0191-553 1535.
