Darlington put in their worst display of the season on Saturday as they were held to a scoreless draw at home to Rushden and Diamonds.
Quakers never showed any of the form they have produced so far this season and a draw seemed a fair result.
The visitors were happy with a point, as they arrived at Feethams with the obvious aim of preventing defeat against a Darlington side which has lost just twice in the league all season.
Both sides created chances in a scrappy game but neither were able to do enough to earn victory.
In the last minute Danny Mellanby hit the bar just moments after Ritchie Hanlon missed a golden opportunity to grab a late winner for the visitors, squandering from six yards out whilst in acres of space.
