CONFIDENT Gary Bennett last night revealed his determination to ensure his Darlington side continue to make Feethams a fortress.
Rushden and Diamonds visit the ground today and Quakers boss Bennett is hopeful of another win.
Darlington are unbeaten in their five home fixtures this season and have won four of them.
Bennett has been delighted with the home performances, but he insists that if his squad are going to enjoy a promotion-pushing campaign, their form on their own patch is vital.
"We have been playing well at Feethams but we have to make sure that continues," said Bennett.
"Winning games at home is important and if you enjoy a good run of form in front of your own supporters then hopefully things will happen away from home."
Darlington's only victory on their travels came at rivals Hartlepool United, but Bennett has been impressed with the team's displays on the whole.
What has pleased the Darlington boss most has been his players' attitude towards matches where their opponents have not been highly-fancied.
A week ago bottom club Exeter City were the visitors and Darlington won 4-0.
Results like that perhaps give Bennett pleasure because he knows his side have kept their minds focused on getting a result.
"When we beat Bristol Rovers it gave our players a lot of confidence. Rovers were top at the time that was a great three points," said the former Sunderland centre-back. "But what is important is that when you come up against the less fashionable teams you also pull out a result.
"We have to be able to pick our game up for those matches or we will not be able to finish as high up the table as we are aiming.
"It has been pleasing to see us play well and even the games we have lost, to Torquay and Southend, gave us pointers as to where we needed to improve.
Division Three newcomers Rushden have struggled to come to terms with League football after being tipped for immediate promotion.
Brian Talbot's men have only won once away from Nene Park since coming up and are in the bottom half of the table.
To Bennett, Rushden are something of an unknown quantity and he is expecting a difficult encounter.
"They have been tipped to do well and I'm sure they will be a difficult team to play. We can't go in thinking that it's going to be easy. We must show them respect."
Bennett has winger Neil Wainwright back in contention after a groin injury. Wainwright has not played since the draw with Carlisle and Mark Convery's performances have forced his manager to seriously consider his inclusion today.
Bennett would not reveal who he would be playing in the right-midfield role, but admits it is a decision that he is pleased to be making.
"When I have to seriously think about who to leave out it shows that we are forming a good squad," he said.
"We have got plenty of young players here now and I'm more than convinced that if I put them into the fray they will perform well.
"They have gained experience from last year and the beginning of this season and now we are seeing what they are capable of."
