A PEDESTRIAN suffered a fractured skull, multiple fractures to one leg and cuts and abrasions in a hit-and-run road accident.
The accident happened as the 44-year-old man was crossing the A1027 ring road in Norton, Teesside, about 200m east of the Centenary pub, at 11.30pm on Friday.
He was struck by an unknown vehicle, which was heading towards the junction roundabout. The man was detained in the University of North Tees Hospital.
The vehicle, which failed to stop, is described as a light coloured, E registration hatchback. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Carlo Orsi on (01642) 326326.
