PUPILS at a Harrogate prep school are the envy of youngsters across the region, after they recorded vocals for a Children in Need charity single.
The pop group S Club 7 have invited schools around the country to sing the chorus on the charity single, called Have You Ever, to raise funds for the BBC Children in Need appeal and also break the record for the number of people singing on a hit record.
The seven to ten-year-olds in the 20-strong Highfield Choir at Highfield Prep School, which is part of Harrogate Ladies College, recorded their contribution to the single on Friday.
Head of practical music at the school, Jim Stretton, said: "The children love the idea and are very excited about it - they're all fans of the group.
"The recording itself was quite a technological feat, as the children had to sing at exactly 70 beats a minute with no accompaniment."
The single will be released on November 19
