AUTUMN hues brought a blaze of colour to a South Durham church at the weekend.
St Paul's, at Spennymoor, chose anniversaries and festivals for its three-day flower festival which was opened on Friday by the Mayor of Sedgefield, Councillor Andrew Gray.
Displays were by church members and arrangers from clubs in the area. Some were sponsored in memory of lost loved ones. They traced the Church calendar from Lent to Christmas, wedding anniversaries, baptism, Mothering Sunday and Harvest.
Durham Constabulary Male Voice Choir sang in the church hall on Saturday and the children of Rosa Street Primary School joined in a Harvest Songs of Praise last night.
