SOUND SYSTEM: Lloyds TSB foundation has awarded the Yarm Fellowship Hall Trust committee a grant of £3,100 for a new sound system for the hall.

ASK THE EXPERTS: A Question of Expertise is an evening of antiques with Sotheby's, on behalf of Yarm School Association on Tuesday, October 9.

Viewing starts at 7.30pm in the theatre. Parents, teachers, students and friends of the school are invited to the event, organised by one of the country's leading antiques and fine arts auctioneers and valuers. Tickets, costing £5, are available from the school office.

PLAYERS NEEDED: Yarm Town Junior Football Club needs players to play at the under-13 level. The club competes in division two of the Teesside Junior Football Alliance. Players must have been under 13 on August 1.

GUIDERS CALL: Guiders in the Yarm district want to provide more opportunities for girls to benefit from Guiding. They hope to open another Rainbow unit for five to seven-year-olds. Brownie leaders and leaders to work with Guides and the senior section are also welcomed.
