A BOOM in business for a County Durham recruitment consultancy has seen it triple the size of its offices.
Contract Human Resource Services, based in Durham City, has seen profits increase 15-fold in the past two years.
As a result, it has acquired an additional floor at its existing premises in Hawthorn terrace and redesigned its offices. Managing director Ian Storer said: "The office expansion means that we now have larger premises and more spacious working environment for our staff and clients.
"The upper floor, which was our original office, is now being used for skills tests as it provides candidates a private area where they can concentrate. We also use the area to host interviews on behalf of our clients."
He added: "The additional floor means that we can have several people carrying out tests at the same time.
"Also, with the appointment of a number of new staff throughout our divisions, we are able to see more people looking for work and help more businesses find suitable employees in an efficient and effective manner."
Contract Human Resource Services was formed two years ago following a split into two divisions of the former Contract Construction Services.
Contract Commercial Services, which provides skilled secretarial, clerical and administrative workers to high profile businesses in the North-East.
Contract Construction Services places skilled workers within the construction industry in the region, as well as the North West, Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
