AN art gallery has revamped its shop to better cater for crafty customers.
The Laing gallery, in Newcastle, refurbished its shop during the summer to enable it to stock a wider range of arts and crafts.
The new-look store will offer an extended range of contemporary crafts, by acclaimed local and national artists, and will host seasonal craft exhibitions, at which visitors can buy collectors' items.
Shop manager Viv Thompson said: "Newcastle city centre has little to cater for the craft and design-led customer, and we are hoping to fill the gap.
"We hope customers will use the gallery shop as a new shopping outlet, as well as it being part of the Laing Art Gallery.''
Gallery curator Julie Milne said: "The new shop will provide visitors with an even better range of products than before.
"As an art gallery, we are pleased to offer wonderfully-designed crafts, by acclaimed artists.''
