A MAN wanted for attempted murder was arrested yesterday in an early morning raid on a caravan park.
Armed police were among 33 officers who took part in the raid at the Elm Tree Caravan Park, Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool, at 7am.
The operation involved the police dog section and air support.
Detective Superintendent Steve Swales said a 48-year-old man from the South Yorkshire area, who was on the run from prison, was arrested.
He was wanted for an attempted murder in the South Yorkshire area. The alleged offence is said to have taken place in July last year. He was yesterday being detained at Hartlepool police station
