AN antiques expert will be giving free valuations of people's treasures at a Gateshead gallery this weekend.
Guy Haskell, of Newcastle auctioneers Phillips, will be at the Shipley Art Gallery, on Saturday, between 11am and 2.30pm.
Mr Haskell has a broad knowledge of all areas of antiques. He will give valuations and explain the history and background of items.
Gallery curator Ann Fletcher-Williams said: "We are very pleased to see Guy Haskell return to the gallery following the success of the valuation day we had earlier in the year."
Mr Haskell said: "One of the reasons I enjoy my job is meeting the general public and valuing a broad range of items."
Visitors are limited to two objects each. Tickets for the event will be issued until 2.30pm on the day. Admission and valuations are free.
