A HEALTH group is urging the public to have its say on health issues by taking part in online discussions.
The Dales Primary Care Group (PCG) has set up a discussion forum on its website www.dalespcg.co.uk
The facility allows the public and professionals to comment on issues such as health development and the group's plans to become the Durham Dales primary care trust in April next year. People who join the forum will also be sent regular information on subjects that participants express an interest in.
Dales group chairman Dr Stewart Findlay said: "The PCG is working hard to keep the public informed about local health issues by inviting them to attend their public meetings and through newsletters. But there are not many opportunities for the public to give us their views on the health services we manage.
"We hope that through our website and the discussion forum we can improve communication with the public and encourage them to give us their comments on our plans and proposals."
