PRIMARY school pupils and teachers are celebrating after receiving a good Ofsted report.
The report on Normanby Primary School said: "This is a good school. Teaching is good, pupils make good progress, and the headteacher provides strong and effective leadership and management."
The school had made "good progress" since its last inspection in April 1997.
Margaret Dale, headteacher, said: "The governors and staff are pleased that the inspectors acknowledged the hard work of our pupils and staff, and the contribution of our parents, in achieving our high standards."
The report also acknowledges heavy investment in ICT and said the school has made good progress in establishing a computer suite and now has a secure curriculum in place for this subject.
The action plan, already in place, is tackling the one improvement area, raising Key Stage 2 standards in ICT.
