THE Under-8 Hornets came from behind to win 3-2 against Redby Blues with a magnificent hat-trick from Luke Sproates.

The second match against Whitburn & Cleadon was postponed. Man of the match was Sproates

The Under-9 Midges team were beaten by Humbledon 2-0 in a closely fought match. Adam James was man of the match.

In the second game, the Midges lost 2-0 against Redby Whites. Jack Miller received the man of the match accolade.

Against top of the league side Riverside Mosquitos, the Under10s conceded three early goals but came back strongly failing to score despite putting Riverside under pressure.

In their second game, Durham scored twice through Bobby Walters and Jack Carr against a spirited Seaham Red Star Rockets side. Man of the match was Andrew McLean.

The Under-11s small sided Wasps played some excellent passing football in a 9-0 victory over Easington at the weekend. The team deserved their win with a hat-trick from Jonathon Clark and further goals from Alistair Cockburn, Philip Walker and Luke Hall. The boys are currently lying just behind the leaders and this win will move them closer at the top.

The Bees played very well against Hendon Rovers but just could not score and lost 1-0 again! The Under-11s 11 a-side squad were back to league action at the weekend against their old rivals South Tyneside. In difficult windy conditions they led twice with goals from Joe Hughes but were eventually held 2-2.

The Under-12s City of Durham Panthers continued their rich vein of form in a 5-2 victory over high flying Hebburn. Goals from Johnny Moralee, Joe Lawther, Johnny Leather and Andy 'Philips' Parkington. The City of Durham Pumas entertained Peterlee Oakerside Boys in a top of the Premier League clash with the Durham lads playing their part in a thrilling game. Peterlee eventually won 7-5 with Durham goals coming from Ross Wilkinson, Olly Hotchkiss, James Marwood and Luke Sullivan (2). After a tight first half the Under-13s went ahead in the second half through a Seb Coady goal.Then Durham boys took control of the game through two well-taken goals from the same player. Boldon snatched a late goal but Durham were worthy 3-1 winners.

Thirsk Falcons

Thirsk A Under-9s continued their excellent start to the season maintaining their 100 per cent record against Bedale. McKendry hit a hat-trick, with Easton and Cressey completing the 5-0 win.

They then hammered Bedale B team 14-0 with McKendry smashing eight in, Newcombe grabbing a hat-trick and both Easton and Cressey finding the net.

Thirsk B team also enjoyed a good win over Bedale B with Elders and Lyth finding the net. Thirsk were unable to overcome Bedale B team though and were beaten 1-0.

Thirsk Falcons Under-12s continued their winning start to the season, with a 6-1 home win against Richmond at the race-course ground. Richmond took the lead but Thirsk got into their stride with Robbie Fountain scoring first.

Duncan Padget put the home side 2-1 up and after the break Falcons added four further goals. Padgett claimed his hat trick with two goals in two minutes and Nick Dixon laid a great ball through for Sam Raw to round the last defender and fire home in to the far corner for Falcons fifth.
