THE refurbishment of a Darlington hotel is under way.
Warwickshire Hotels Limited, which took over the Best Western White Horse just over a year ago, has invested £500,000 in the refurbishment at the 40-bedroom hotel and restaurant.
Sandy McMillan, general manager of the hotel, said: "This is a very exciting project for us. Being situated so close to both the business and residential conurbation of Darlington, our aim is to create a great atmosphere, comfort and cosy ambience for all our guests."
The refurbishment will see the creation of new facilities, including Hadrians Bar and the Dunelm Suite, which will cater for conferences, weddings, family celebrations and themed dinners.
Mrs McMillan said: "The hotel will remain open for business throughout the refurbushment, with a few temporary adjustments.
