A YOUNG Filipino woman has brought her Internet skills to Redcar as part of an international exchange.
Christina Alejandro, 32, lives in Manila, where she works as a web and product designer for a family-run card and gift business.
Now, she has brought her skills to east Cleveland to help stationer and printer, Southeran's, get its website set up properly.
She said she was enjoying her first visit to the UK and had been impressed by Guisborough, where she is staying, and the surrounding area.
"It is wonderful - there is such rich history. It is a mix of the old and the new, and there is a lot of future in this area," said Christina.
"Before I came, I researched on the Internet about the area, and I thought it would be very industrial and very modern, but the past is preserved as well."
Christina and the four others in the scheme will spend a few days in London before jetting home.
The trip was arranged by the Guisborough and Great Ayton Rotary Club.
President, the Reverend Ken Harrison, said: "It has been a real privilege to meet these young professionals and learn and share experiences with them.
"We are always pleased to offer them to the opportunity to come and develop their own careers."
