THERE is a bit of a carry on planned at Catterick Garrison this weekend, with more than 300 people expected at the Infantry Training Centre to take part on a charity challenge.
Up to 70 teams have signed up for Marie Curie Cancer Care's Carry On Soldier event.
And tomorrow, people from across Yorkshire and Teesside will be put through their paces on the parade ground, a climbing wall, over a steeplechase course and on the rifle range.
Community fundraising manager, Susie Fothergill, said: "We have been overwhelmed by the response to this competition. All our would-be soldiers seem to be really game for a laugh, and willing to push themselves to the limit in support of Marie Curie.
"Our grateful thanks go to all who are taking part and of course, the Infantry Training Centre, without whom none of this would be possible.'
