Tow Law Bass - Esh Stag's Head, the leaders, went down to their first defeat of the season when the visiting Tow Law New Market A came through to win by three points.
After the trebles were shared the visitors had singles wins from Darren Yeoman, Bob McFadden, Carol Spencer and Bobby Grey, whilst Alan Maughan and Brian Kershaw replied for the Stag's. The visitors went on to clinch victory by taking two of the three doubles points.

Market joined Belle Vue at the top with a big win at Sunnydene Lodge. The two leaders have drawn nine points clear of third placed Blue Bells.
Coach and Horses hold a one point lead over Green Tree in division two with Mill House in third spot a further point behind.

Willington League
The Prospect Club crashed to their first defeat of the season when they visited Willington Commercial and were beaten by two points, whilst Willington Burn trailed 4-2 at Willington Brewer's Droop but took the remaining points to pull through to victory and a share of second place in the table with the Prospect. Hunwick Quarry Burn lead the table with a two points advantage, whilst Hunwick Joiners Arms trail the joint seconds by two points.
Things looked good for the Prospect when they took the first four singles points through Paul Morris, John Glasper, Neil Foster and Trevor Bourne. However from there the Commercial took over with singles wins from Mark Plaskett and Jean Swain. They then added the three doubles through Elaine Plaskett with John Perkins, Len Glasper with Des Ayre and Jean Swain with Mark Plaskett. Victory was assured when the Commercial took the double points team game, although the Prospect were able to salvage the last point when Paul Morris beat Jean Swain in the captain's game.
Colin Davison led the individual performances of the week with two maximums and a 14 darts check-out for Willington Burn. There were also maximums for Dave Robson and Dave Alderson of the Quarry Burn, Derek Brazier of the Brown Trout and Alan Lee of Willington Club.
