TWO border collies called Bob and Dylan have launched a new forest trail - with their paws.
The pets, each bearing half the name of the famous American singer, have been recruited to introduc the trail at Guisborough forest and walkway.
Dylan and Bob's Guide to Guisborough Forest contains pawprint waymarkers showing the route which is aimed at eight- to 12-year-olds, and younger children with assistance.
The booklet was compiled by the walkway's assistant countryside warden, Deborah Jefferson.
The inspiration for the title came from her collie Bob, and Dylan, another border collie owned by warden, Briony Serginson, who are both visitor centre regulars.
The wardens hope the book, priced 60p, will have a double benefit.
"We thought it would be a good idea to use Dylan and Bob to introduce the trail," said Ms Jefferson.
"At the same time, we can promote a responsible dog owner message because we get a lot of family groups, often accompanied by a dog."
