A STUDENT has been subjected to a serious assault after a night out.
The 21-year-old Irishman was attacked by two men after coming out of a night club and finding himself lost on Teesside.
Instead of getting on to a free shuttle bus taking revellers from the Millennium night club, on the Teesside Retail Park, back to his digs at Middlesbrough, the student got on a bus that went in the opposite direction, to Thornaby.
He was attacked after leaving the bus at the Mandale Triangle at Thornaby and taken by his two assailants into Stockton High Street, where he caught a taxi back to Middlesbrough.
Details of the attack, which happened between 2.30am and 3am on Tuesday, October 2, were released by Cleveland Police yesterday.
Anyone who can help should contact Detective Seregeant Adrian Bradley on (01642) 302234.
