A TEENAGER was subjected to a sex attack by two men as she walked home after a night out with friends.

The 17-year-old was forced to the ground and sexually assaulted after being confronted by the men in Cheltenham Crescent, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The attack happened at about 11.45pm last Wednesday, as the woman walked towards the town centre.

The victim, who police said was extremely traumatised by the incident, has dark hair and was wearing a dark-coloured suit, with a silver top.

Her attackers were white, in their mid-twenties, with short dark hair. One is about 6ft, while the other was slightly shorter. Both wore dark trousers and light-coloured, long-sleeved shirts.

The incident came just days after a 26-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a layby on a road just outside Harrogate, after accepting a lift from a man she met in a pub.

A police spokesman said: "No connection has been made with other sexual assaults that have happened recently in the Harrogate area, but police are keeping an open mind."
