A YOUNG football team is wearing its colours with extra pride this season after a fast-food chain bought them their first new strip.
Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre Under-13s have been left with hand-me-downs since they started as an under-nines team.
But after their goalkeeper's sister, Kelly Watson, took it upon herself to find a firm willing to help out, the Teesside Alliance First Division side has been handed the new kit by their local McDonalds.
The chain's Newton Park Services outlet, on the A1's A167 Aycliffe interchange, paid for a full new strip for the team - the branch's first such venture
