A website has been created by children, for children, in a bid to promote healthy living.
The Healthnet site, operated by Teesside Health Action Zone and Middlesbrough Football Club, gives information and advice on issues such as smoking.
This is presented in a rap format and cartoon images created by local schoolchildren.
Health promotion officer Rob Lake, the scheme's coordinator, said the idea is to make health inform-ation accessible to youngsters.
"We created Healthnet with the help of young people who have attended a course held at the Riverside Stadium and at Middlesbrough Football Club's centre in Eston," he said.
The site will be launched at the Riverside Stadium tomorrow, when some of its creators will receive certificates from a Middlesbrough Football Club player.
Mr Lake said: "We are extremely happy with Healthnet, and I'm sure that once the kids see the finished product, they will be proud of the part they have played in its creation."
The site can be accessed at www.mfc-community.com.
