A NORTH-EAST woman enjoyed television success for the second time when she watched her team win Channel 4's Bar Wars series.
Michelle Humphrey, 24, from Darlington, was drafted into the girls' team for the programme's last week, in August, and watched as the dramatic final episode was screened on Friday night.
The programme put a team of women and a team of men on the Greek island of Kavos, each running a bar.
The team that made the most profit took home the earnings from both bars and, as the weeks went on, members were "sacked" and new blood employed.
Michelle, a former Hummersknott School pupil, was called up on August Bank Holiday Monday and flew out on the same day, having given up hope of appearing in the show.
As she was only involved in the last week, she took home just £600 of her group's total £18,000 prize money. She said: "It's not bad at all for a week's work. The taste of success was just as sweet the second time round, watching it on the telly.
