A unique security seminar offering advice on terrorism to businesses has taken place in the region.
Crime Free Zone put together a security conference to give guidance and advice to companies in County Durham.
They set up the initiative after Durham police was contacted by worried business people in the wake of national and international terrorist attacks.
The sessions, at Redworth Hall, near Newton Aycliffe, are based on work from the National Terrorist Crime Prevention Unit.
Co-ordinator Steve Brown said: "The threat of terrorism is making people concerned.
"Every country has its own home grown terrorists, in Britain we have the Real IRA.
"We have had calls from people worried about it and they are not happy. "The seminars told them what to look out for, how to deal with suspicious packages and basic practical advice."
Speakers at the seminar included Acting Inspector John Zissler of County Durham constabulary, Brian George, Counter Terrorism Prevention officer and Inspector Tim Wilson, project co-ordinator of Durham Agency Against Crime.
