DARLINGTON'S move for Hartlepool's Ian Clark has been put on hold after the two clubs failed to conclude a deal for the winger.
Clark was expected to sign on the dotted line at Feethams this morning after it was reported the clubs had agreed a £10,000 fee for the 27-year-old.
However, it now seems as though the fierce north-east rivals will have to re-open negotiations after Pools changed their demands for the player.
Despite the delay, Darlo boss Tommy Taylor is still confident of concluding a deal for the Stockton-born playmaker.
Taylor said: "Hartlepool came back and insisted that something should be inserted in the deal, so I have left it to the chairman to sort out. Hopefully, that will be later today or tomorrow."
