DRINKERS at a newly-refurbished pub saw double yesterday.
Ten sets of identical twins made a VIP appearance at the Gretna Green, near Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, to celebrate its reopening after a £42,000 refurbishment - and to promote a two-for-one meal offer.
Manager Ben Duley said: "We really wanted to do something special to mark the opening and the start of the two-for-one offer, and what better way to do it than to invite twins to be our VIPs for the day?"
The two-for-one concept means customers can buy any main course and get another one free - all day, every day.
The identical twins were given a £20 voucher to enjoy at the pub and younger twins had a free play in the pub's Wacky Warehouse giant indoor play barn
