TWO Durham schoolboys have special reason to watch Harry Potter's film debut.
Twelve-year-olds Daniel Madden and Alexander Treliving, pupils at Durham Chorister School, appear as extras in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which is set to take audiences by storm when it goes on release on Friday.
their debut has been used in publicity material.
One scene shows the boys at their desks in a classroom, with Harry Potter and his friend, Ron Weasley.
Pupils at the school got involved in the production because Durham Cathedral was used as McGonagall's transfiguration classroom.
Headmaster Stephen Drew said: "Daniel and Alex are two of the many pupils who were employed as extras when Warner Brothers filmed scenes for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Durham last October.
"It was an exciting experience for all of the children involved."
