THE League AGM was held at Bowburn when Cockton Hill and Dean and Chapter were accepted as new members and the resignation of Stockton Elm Tree also accepted.

The League team players were presented with their badges for winning the prestigious Wilf Marsh Trophy. The meeting heard the letter of thanks from Durham County Hospital for the donation of £80, which will go to the Patients Amenities Fund from the proceeds of the Hospital Cup.

Officers elected: President; Bill Kirk of Ever Ready/ Craghead; Chairman: Walter Heron of Vane tempest; Secretary: Ian C Young of King George V; Treasurer: Terry Greenough of Nevilles Cross; Vice Chairman and Minutes Secretary: Ian Hudson of Nevilles Cross; Competitions Secretary: Roy Ledger of Ever Ready/Craghead; Auditors: Tony Hardie of Newton Hall and David Mimms of Witton Gilbert. During the Winter break the Executive Committee will examine all the rules fully and be ready to present their findings at the Spring Meeting.

The Spring Meeting, where all teams must be represented, will be held on Saturday, 6 April at 2pm at Bowburn. The new season will begin on Saturday, 27 April with three divisions of ten teams.

Division One: Leeholme, Ever Ready/Craghead, Crook Glenholme, Mainsforth, Coxhoe, Bowburn, Shotton, Pelton Fell, Nevilles Cross and Wingate.

Division Two: Langley Park, King George V, Sherburn Village, Stockton, Brandon, Vane Tempest, Addison Park, Trimdon, Witton Gilbert and Wheatley Hill.
