Hungry Jacks Under 12s entertained Teesside Athletic from the Teesside League in the North Riding Cup and came out worthy winners 4-3.
It didn't take HJ's long to take control of the first half and created many opportunities, but only went in at half time 1-0 up, thanks to a goal from Daniel Wright.
In the second half HJ's played some excellent football and had the
Teesside team pinned in their own half. Daniel Fox increased HJ's lead
to 2-0. Teesside Athletic pulled one back to 2-1, HJ's still piled on the
pressure and with a bit more composure in front of goal could have ran out with a bigger win. Two minutes into injury time after ID's had pressurised the Teesside team, Teesside Athletic broke and snatched and equaliser with the last kick of the half. HJ's were reduced to ten men and had to play the 20 minutes of extra time with ten men. This spurred the lads who increase their lead to 4-2 with two goals from Wright who completed his hat-trick. Teesside Athletic pulled a goal back with the last kick of the game with a penalty.
