PROJECT and cost management consultants Faithful & Gould are playing a starring role in the transformation of a site used in an Oscar-winning movie.
The Stockton company is involved in the development of Hatfield Business Park, in Hertfordshire, part of which was used by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks to film the World War Two drama Saving Private Ryan, and BBC series Band of Brothers.
International business park developer and service provider Arlington is behind the development, which aims to revitalise the former British Aerospace aerodrome.
The park will comprise business accommodation, distribution, warehousing, the new De Havilland campus for the University of Hertfordshire, a primary school and a district centre providing a health centre, day nursery, fitness club, family entertainment centre and restaurants.
As well as providing work for the infrastructure of the park, including the construction of access roads, telecommunications and drainage. Faithful and Gould is also working on premises being built for mobile phone company One2One, Internet shopping firm Ocada, and discount retailer TK Maxx.
Faithful and Gould Midlands director, Simon Raine, said: "Faithful and Gould has a long standing relationship with Arlington, working together on many business park schemes. At Hatfield, Arlington is striving to create a contemporary park environment, harmonising commercial and community activity in a coherent whole that will benefit the community and business occupiers in equal measure.
"These are fast track projects and we are committed to playing our part in ensuring that they are all completed on target."
The first phases of Hatfield Business Park are due to be completed early next year.
Faithful and Gould has been going from strength to strength in recent years, expanding its offices across the UK, Europe, US and Asia. It now employs more than 1,500 staff
