Ripon's revival in Division One continued in the Hambleton Ales North Yorkshire Squash League with a 2-1 away victory over Harlow.
The win kept nomadic Ripon in second place with Bedale still leading the way. Matthew Wood and Steve Thackwray took the vital wins for Ripon. Ripon's only defeat came when Tom Ellis defeated John Bailey at first string 9-7, 9-4, 9-6. Harlow's Dave McGrath fell to Wood 5-9, 4-9, 6-9 and Rob Cunningham went down to Thackwray 9-4, 1-9, 9-3, 0-9, 0-9.
Moving up to third spot from sixth place are Harrogate Squash II. Still unbeaten they romped home 3-0 against the club's first team. Martin Wickenden, Bob Peacock and Nicola Pratt took the victories with a first class trio of deliveries for a side worthy of a more than second string tag.

League newcomer Scott Wilson is top seeded in the Kall Kwik Harrogate and District Squash Championships.
Wilson faces Harrogate Squash Club coaching professional Paul Hornsby in his opening clash of the premier championship. Second seed Simon Myring (Harrogate Squash) faces Mark Sellers (Scott Hall) in his opening match. In the second tier event Knaresborough's Gary Hatch is the favourite with Paul Duncalf (Harrogate Squash) second seed.
Favourite to lift the group three championship is Boroughbridge Sports Centre player Kevin Trail who faces Ben Bolton, one of Pateley Bridge's most consistent performers, in the first round. Second seed is Bolton's club colleague Chris Lennox, who plays Nigel Wick (Boroughbridge) in round one.
Collingham's Ken Buckley is top seeded in the Veterans' event with Roger Calvert (Harlow) second favourite.
Collingham moved into second spot with a smart 3-0 home win over Nomads. Nick Brown led the Collingham charge with a 9-5, 9-4, 9-3 win over Peter Edwards.
Skipper Paul Hill finished in a canter against Neil Turnbull 9-5, 10-8, 9-0 while Anthony Kettlewell secured a 9-7 10-8, 1-9, 9-1 victory against Jonathan Round.
With two matches in hand on leaders Scott Hall Collingham are now just eight points behind with only one defeat in five outings.
Scott Hall have lost twice in their eight matches and have 68 points.
Scott Hall held on to the top spot thanks to a 3-0 home victory against Ilkley II, Ian Cawthorne, Scott Wilson and Julian Gorton taking their rubbers.

Collingham are third in the Kall Kwik Harrogate Under 15 League, just one point behind leaders St. Peter's, York. Chapel Allerton are second with 24 points, the same as Collingham.
