THE work of three young designers is lighting up the streets of Darlington for Christmas.
The youngsters were winners of a competition which was run by Orange and The Northern Echo to design the festive lights for Darlington this year.
Lee Featherstone, five, Katie Turner, eight, and Kerry Colville, 13, all from Darlington, were winners of the competition. Their designs have been turned into lights which are on show in Darlington town centre.
The youngsters, who won pantomime tickets, were present to see their lights come to life when they were switched on last weekend.
The winner of the contest was Katie, a pupil at Springfield School, who was also able to treat her family to dinner as part of her prize.
