A NEW website for unsigned musicians is being developed by a North-East company.
TalentStar (www.talentstar.co.uk), produced by Durham-based Genius Corporation, will provide wannabe stars with music industry contacts, advice and tips.
TalentStar creator Adam Chetter said: "Genius Corporation's main philosophy is to help people and we feel that providing a website such as TalentStar will reiterate our aims.
"There are loads of people out there who want to become popstars or want to enter the music industry but there is little access to information they need.
"We aim to provide a music industry contact list that is second to none."
Apart from local information, TalentStar will give national contacts such as recording studios, management and record companies and media institutions.
The company aims to launch the site in Feburary .
Although the site has not been launched yet, the TalentStar research website attracted almost 700 hits during the first three days it was on the server.
Genius Corporation hopes to find a national company which is willing to sponsor the website.
