BUDDING ballet dancers wanting to take a path to stardom, followed in the steps of a star at the weekend.
Principal dancer Wayne Sleep took a master class at Hartlepool, yesterday - where he had moved to at the age of seven from his home town of Plymouth.
The celebrity shared some of the secrets of his success with 18 talented students, in an hour-long coaching session at the City Learning Centre at Dyke House School in the town, a visit organised by Hartlepool Borough Council's education department.
Karen Adams who organised the event for the department described the Sunday school as "a magical session".
Mr Sleep was given free dance lessons in Newcastle while he was a boy and left the area to join the Royal School of Ballet, at the age of 12.
Two years ago he was awarded an honorary Master of Arts degree by Teesside University.
